Ramadhan Series : Juz 21

Juz 21 covers Surah Luqman (31:1-34), Surah As-Sajdah (32:1-30), Surah Al-Ahzab (33:1-73), and part of Surah Saba (34:1-30). This Juz highlights the importance of wisdom, patience in trials, modesty, and trusting Allah’s plan.

1. The Wisdom of Luqman: Advice for a Meaningful Life

"O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you..." (Luqman 31:17)

Luqman’s advice to his son includes faith, prayer, good character, and patience. These qualities shape a successful life.

Health Insight: Patience and righteousness lead to mental peace, better decision-making, and emotional stability.

2. The Power of Prostration (Sajdah) and Spiritual Healing

"Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall in prostration and exalt [Allah] with praise..." (As-Sajdah 32:15)

Sujood (prostration) in prayer deepens the connection with Allah and brings inner peace. It is an act of humility and submission.

Health Insight: Sujood increases blood flow to the brain, relieves stress, and promotes relaxation.

3. The Importance of Modesty and Guarding One’s Honor

"O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments..." (Al-Ahzab 33:59)

This verse encourages modesty, which preserves dignity and self-respect. Islam promotes dressing and behaving in a way that reflects honor and integrity.

Health Insight: Modesty fosters self-confidence, protects against negative social pressures, and promotes mental well-being.

4. Resisting Worldly Temptations and Materialism

"But those who strive against Our verses [seeking] to cause failure – for them will be a painful punishment of foul nature." (Saba 34:5)

This Juz warns against chasing material wealth at the expense of faith. True success is in pleasing Allah, not in worldly gains.

Health Insight: Excessive materialism leads to stress, anxiety, and dissatisfaction. A balanced life brings true peace.

5. Holding onto Hope: Allah’s Mercy is Always Near

"Say, ‘Those who have wronged themselves should not despair of Allah’s mercy. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins...'" (Az-Zumar 39:53)

Despite mistakes and setbacks, Allah’s mercy is vast. No matter how much one has strayed, there is always a way back through repentance.

Health Insight: Seeking forgiveness and letting go of guilt reduce stress and improve emotional well-being.
