Ramadhan Series : Juz 23
Juz 23 covers Surah Ya-Sin (36:28-83), Surah As-Saffat (37:1-182), Surah Sad (38:1-88), and Surah Az-Zumar (39:1-31). This Juz highlights the importance of relying on Allah (Tawakkul), drawing closer to Him through worship, and remaining patient in trials.
1. Tawakkul: Placing Full Trust in Allah
"Indeed, those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ and then
remain steadfast – the angels will descend upon them..." (Fussilat
41:30)
True believers put their complete trust in Allah and remain
firm in their faith. They do not waver in hardships but rely on His guidance.
Health Insight: Tawakkul reduces anxiety and stress,
promoting emotional resilience and mental well-being.
2. The Beauty of Worship and Seeking Nearness to Allah
"Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and
supplicate to Us in hope and fear..." (As-Saffat 37:100)
This verse describes the devotion of righteous people. Sincere
worship, dua, and good deeds bring us closer to Allah and grant inner peace.
Health Insight: Engaging in acts of worship lowers
stress, boosts self-control, and improves overall emotional balance.
3. The Rewards of Patience in Times of Hardship
"Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant.
Indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah]." (Sad 38:44)
Prophet Ayyub (AS) is praised for his patience during
immense trials. Patience in difficulties brings immense rewards and relief from
distress.
Health Insight: Patience lowers blood pressure,
enhances decision-making, and promotes a positive mindset.
4. The Reality of This World vs. the Hereafter
"Say, ‘Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose
themselves and their families on the Day of Judgment...’" (Az-Zumar
39:15)
This verse reminds us that true loss is neglecting the
Hereafter. A believer must balance worldly responsibilities while prioritizing
faith.
Health Insight: Letting go of excessive attachment to
materialism reduces stress, enhances contentment, and fosters a
healthier lifestyle.
5. The Mercy of Allah: Never Lose Hope
"Say, ‘O My servants who have transgressed against
themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all
sins...’" (Az-Zumar 39:53)
This is one of the most hopeful verses in the Quran. No
matter how many mistakes a person has made, Allah’s mercy is always open to
those who sincerely repent.
Health Insight: Hope and forgiveness promote
emotional healing, reduce guilt, and improve mental well-being.
